About Saturation Family of Churches
We are a family of local churches in Central New York working together to strengthen churches, develop leaders, and give every man, woman, and child repeated opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Who We Are
Saturation Family of Churches exists to glorify God by equipping all of Christ’s people to live faithful lives of worship and by giving every man, woman, and child repeated opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are a family of local churches in Central New York united by shared biblical convictions, a shared mission, and a shared commitment to serving our region, state, nation, and world together.
Each church has its own local leadership, congregation, and ministry presence while partnering with other churches through shared resources, leadership development, discipleship, church planting, and global mission. We believe local churches can accomplish more together than they can alone, and our desire is to strengthen and multiply healthy churches throughout Central New York and beyond for the glory of God.
Why We Exist
We exist because we believe every man, woman, and child should have repeated opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ. In a region where many people have little meaningful connection to a healthy local church, we believe God has called His people to work together so the gospel can be made accessible throughout Central New York and beyond.
We pursue this mission by equipping and mobilizing Christ’s people to live faithful lives of worship and witness. As believers grow in spiritual maturity, they become ambassadors of Christ in their homes, workplaces, neighborhoods, and communities.
We also believe healthy churches are God’s primary means for making disciples. For that reason, we work together to strengthen existing churches, develop leaders, and plant new churches. Through intentional leadership development, coaching, and training, we seek to equip the next generation of pastors, elders, church planters, and ministry leaders for faithful service. We do this so healthy churches can continue to multiply and thrive for generations to come.
Together, we seek to extend gospel presence throughout our region through evangelization, equip Christ’s people for lives of worship and witness through mobilization, establish healthy churches in communities throughout Central New York through decentralization, and partner together through shared leadership, resources, and mission through interdependency.
How We Work Together
Saturation Family of Churches is a partnership of local churches. Each congregation has its own leaders, members, ministries, budget, and local mission while remaining connected to the larger family through shared convictions, relationships, and mission.
Our churches are united around common theology, philosophy of ministry, discipleship values, and a shared vision for gospel saturation. We believe these shared commitments allow us to move in the same direction while serving different communities throughout Central New York.
We also collaborate in ways that strengthen one another. One of our highest priorities is developing leaders for the church and mission. Churches share leadership development, internships, residencies, training opportunities, ministry initiatives, counseling resources, youth ministry, church planting efforts, and other resources where beneficial.
Shared stewardship is one of the practical expressions of being a family. Rather than operating as isolated congregations, our churches pool resources where appropriate to strengthen existing churches, develop leaders, plant new churches, and support family-wide ministry initiatives. This shared investment enables us to pursue a larger mission together while continuing to serve our local communities faithfully.
This partnership allows each church to maintain local leadership and local ministry while benefiting from the wisdom, gifts, and resources of the larger family.
Our Story
The story of Saturation Family of Churches began with the planting of Missio Church in Syracuse in 2008. From the beginning, the vision was larger than a single congregation. We desired to participate with God in the redemption and transformation of Central New York by making the gospel accessible through everyday Christians and healthy local churches.
Over the years, God has graciously allowed churches to be planted, leaders to be developed, and partnerships to be formed with churches across the region. As those relationships deepened, a growing number of churches recognized that they could accomplish more by strategically aligning together than they could alone.
Today, Saturation Family of Churches exists as a partnership of churches committed to helping every man, woman, and child encounter the gospel through the strengthening of existing churches, the planting of new churches, and the mobilization of Christ’s people throughout Central New York and beyond.
